Atlantic Canada has been good to Vogue Optical and Vogue has been good in return with major contributions to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, IWK Children’s Hospital, QE II, Prince County Hospital, Montague Wellness Centre, Diabetes Association, UPEI, Ride for Sight and Kids Count.
As well, Vogue Optical is heavily involved with the Children’s Wish Foundation by providing sponsorship, for 4 years, as the title sponsor for the Wishmaker Parade for Atlantic Canada and the annual Vogue Optical Curl For Wishes fundraiser since 2004.
Vogue Optical was the title sponsor for the Parkinson’s Superwalk for the Maritime Provinces from 2006 -2011.
In 2008, we received a Certificate of Recognition as a Partner for Life from Canadian Blood Services. We allow our employees to take free time out of their work day to donate blood.
Also in 2007, we signed on as a title sponsor with the PEI 55+ Senior Games and still continue to be their major sponsor.
Vogue Optical sponsors numerous sports teams and community events fundraisers in all communities where our stores are located.
Vogue Optical granted a wish on behalf of all of our retail store managers, during our recent managers convention. It was to thank them for their community involvement and hard work. They were very excited to grant 11 year old Erica’s wish. Her wish will be granted this December when Erica and her family will travel to Walt Disney World in Florida.
Canadian Blood Services and Vogue Optical announce life-saving partnership
Vogue Optical is making a commitment to help save lives by donating blood as a member of Canadian Blood Services’ “Partners for Life” Program. As a member of this program, Vogue Optical’s 300+ employees at over 60 stores across Canada, along with their family and friends, have made the commitment to donate blood to help those whose lives depend on blood and blood products. The company has set a target of donating 60 units for the remainder of this year. As one donation has the ability to improve or save up to 3 lives, 180 hospital patients will be receive a life-saving gift from the Vogue Optical family.
“This partnership with Canadian Blood Services is a way for us to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients in our communities,” says Cory Gray, Vogue Optical. “We have made a commitment to make 60 donations over the next 6 months, but I am hopeful that we can surpass that number by educating our staff about the need for blood and allowing them to donate during work time. We are proud to partner with Canadian Blood Services to help meet the growing need for blood and blood products.”
