On Saturday, October 13th, hundreds of Islanders will participate in the Vogue Optical presents the Children's Wish Foundation “Wishmaker Parade Walk for Wishes” by walking to help grant the wishes of children with high risk, life-threatening illnesses between the ages of three and eighteen. The Island Chapter are in the process of granting 14 wishes to Island Children. The annual Wishmaker Parade is a 1km walk that includes the whole family. Nathan Ryan and Jeanette Wakelin, along with Cory Gray would like to encourage the public to come out to one of the 6 Island communities of Tignish, O’Leary, Summerside, North Rustico, Charlottetown and Montague. These walks will be occurring simultaneously with registration at 1:00pm and walks at 2:00pm with a celebration and lots of prizes at one of the Wishmaker Parade locations in over 100 communities across Canada. All of the money raised during the Vogue Optical presents Wishmaker Parade will help the Foundation continue granting wishes for Island children. The Vogue Optical presents Wishmaker Parade Walk for Wishes offers Islanders an opportunity to lend support to an important cause while enjoying a fun and entertaining day.
